Objectives:
The study aims to develop and analyse a simplified eco-epidemiological model of Mastomys rat-human-contaminated environment interactions and use the model to investigate the effect of human predation and migration patterns of rodents on the rodent population and its implication on the transmission dynamics of Lassa fever.
Sites:
West Africa
Study Design:
The study will involve the development of a mathematical model that captures the key epidemiological and ecological factors factors contributing to Lassa fever transmission. The model will consider factors such as the population demographics, human predation, infectiousness, contact patterns, and migration pattern of rodents.
Subjects:
Lassa fever incidence data
Start Date:
2017-01-01
End Date:
